My name is Hallie (they/them), and I am a white, gender-expansive, queer, neurodivergent graduate student completing my Master of Social Work in Houston, Texas. As a macro social work student, my area of study focuses on advocacy, equitable access to resources, and anti-oppressive policy. I approach my work through a systems lens, and believe that in an intricate web of deeply interconnected systems, liberation is collective. I am an enthusiastic, pleasure-based, trans-affirming sexual health educator, and am deeply passionate about sexual health justice. In my graduate internship roles, I collaborate with organizations to revise internal policies and program services to center community-identified needs and service provider wellbeing.
Outside of graduate school, I tend my spirit-garden by writing songs, noticing birds, reading books, collecting old maps, and spending time among other things that carry stories.
