As a licensed marriage and family therapist in California, I would love to chat with you for free (approximately 15 minutes) to see if I can support you. Appointment times are available on the website below. I offer expressive arts and talk therapy integrated with mindfulness practices. I practice and pay land tax on the stolen homelands of the Ramaytush Ohlone people (colonized as San Francisco) in an ADA accessible building with large windows and a hepa filter. I also provide clinical supervision for associates earning hours toward licensure. My training focuses on expressive arts, mindfulness, and embodied social justice—blending my passion for activism and the arts feels like a natural progression. I grew up in the U.S. South, where I completed my undergraduate degree in theater arts with a minor in education. After graduating, I moved to New York City and taught theater in all five boroughs while acting along the way. After a decade of teaching and parent meetings that often resembled therapy sessions, I transitioned to a career in psychology (while becoming a parent myself). I have worked with families, teens, and many individuals, helping them heal their intimate relationships with themselves and others. I specialize in gender care, particularly with youth. Right now, I'm committed to connecting you with the care we still have, and I'm fighting to keep gender-affirming care accessible and safe! I use client-centered techniques, meaning you are your best source of wisdom—not me. I find daily journaling, meditation, and dancing vital practices. Each day, I work to examine my privileges as an able-bodied white person who grew up with access to education and a middle-class background. I'm neuro-spicy, so I feel confident helping my fellow ADHD/autistic folks creatively, without using overly traditional structured approaches. You'll meet me authentically in our sessions. I am not someone with a worksheet asking you to change in ways the field of psychology thinks you should. I know in my bones that our liberation is bound together, and I'm committed to finding ways for all of us to become freer and freer—including you!
