My name is Brett (she/her) and I am a queer, neuroqueer, chronically-ill, white nutrition therapist practicing on the unceded lands of the Piscataway and Susquehannock peoples colonized as Baltimore, Maryland. I offer politicized healing for folks interested in exploring their relationship with nourishment and embodiment. I work collaboratively with clients who are in recovery from eating disorders and/or working with patterns of disordered eating. I am inspired by and draw from many frameworks; the foundation of my practice is rooted in ecological anti-capitalism, abolition, queer feminism, anti-carceral care, pleasure activism, harm reduction, disability justice, fat liberation, speculative fiction, and socially engaged buddhism. Writing about how I practice kind of sounds like a liberation-based word cloud and I am into it.
