I am a white queer and trans psychotherapist practicing out of Pittsburgh, PA and primarily serving Rhode Island. Queer and trans people who are autistic and survivors of complex trauma are an emerging treatment specialty for me. My primary modalities are psychodynamic and DBT, however I also have existential and psychoanalytic training and am actively working on EMDR certification. I combine skillbuilding as well as relational and somatic interventions to help clients identify patterns in life and relationships that are causing them to feel stuck. I also help clients consider how lived experience, systemic oppression, and perceived and held identities may be impacting their experiences in the world. I consider trauma patterns to be partly a product of isolation (emotional or otherwise), and so I focus on how connection both inside and outside of therapy can facilitate healing.

Some of my practice is grounded in my own lived experience as a person with a spinal cord injury and living with late-diagnosed autism. I am transparent about this with clients, as I often find that sometimes having a shared language to work from can help establish a treatment relationship more quickly. I have spent a lot of time in activist networks and doing anti-racist work over the years, which has also grounded my approach to treatment.
